WE PROMISE we never use routine antibiotics nor do we inject with brine!

Animal welfare and humane farming is what we aspire to.

Red Barn has also sourced LOTS of NEW and exciting LOCAL FARM FOODS. Free range beef, free range pork, Karoo Lamb, a large range of dairy products and many other nutritious goodies from our local farmers.

 Farmer Angus.

Farmer Angus is one of two grass fed, pasture-reared beef producers in the Western Cape. His onsite butchery is, however, the only one processing the beef that is produced on his farm. Biodynamic and regenerative agricultural principles and practices are applied in the raising of the farm’s animals which includes cattle, pigs, broiler chickens and laying hens. Situated on 126 hectares of irrigated pasture at Spier Wine Estate near Stellenbosch, it is the only butchery in the country that does not add nitrates, gluten and nitrites to the meat.

All Farmer Angus products are also 100% growth-hormone free, routine antibiotic free and the pig and chicken food is glyphosate free.

Klein River Cheese crafts 4 styles and 11 types of exceptional and award-winning South African cheese. We have been producing cheese for over 25 years with only one cheese-maker, Jacko van Beulen. He has been with us since day one and has extensive knowledge and experience in cheese craft.
